Dr. Myesha Holmes is an Assistant Professor in the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) Program. Drawing upon more than 20 years of professional experience across the technology, aerospace, and oil and gas industries, Dr. Holmes is committed to bridging the gap between business practice and academic theory. By integrating real-world industry insights with a Christian worldview, she equips doctoral scholars to navigate complex organizational challenges with integrity, wisdom, and ethical discernment, and to develop practical, evidence-based solutions.
Dr. Holmes is passionate about helping learners develop the confidence and skills needed to navigate the world of data analytics and data science. She is committed to bridging the gap for students who may initially feel intimidated by quantitative methods, transforming complex analytical concepts into practical, accessible tools for decision-making. By emphasizing real-world business applications, Dr. Holmes equips students to move beyond simply interpreting data to using analytical insights to solve organizational challenges, support strategic decision-making, and create meaningful business value. Her teaching philosophy centers on fostering an engaging and supportive learning environment in which students build both analytical competence and the confidence to apply data-driven thinking to today's complex business challenges, while embracing a Christian worldview that values integrity, wisdom, ethical stewardship, and service to others.
Outside of her academic and professional responsibilities, Dr. Holmes enjoys spending time with her husband, three sons, and daughter. An avid sports fan and league tennis player, she can often be found on the tennis court, cheering on her children as they compete in track, softball, volleyball, and basketball, or enjoying a game as a spectator.
Dr. Holmes’ favorite Scripture is Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” This verse reflects her faith in God’s purpose and direction and serves as a personal reminder of the hope found in trusting His plan.
