Additional Information

Rick came to Belhaven University to launch the Film Production department in the fall of 2016. For over twenty years, he has worked on hundreds of film and video projects in Miami, New York, and now Mississippi.

He continues to write and produce original projects.

Rick is most excited in seeing students grow as storytellers and discover their individual talents. He enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters and loves watching films, reading, and playing video games with his girls.

• Mississippi Humanities Council 2021 Teacher Award for Belhaven University.
• Feature length script (Ambry) was chosen for Panel Presentation & the Juried Script Competition at the 2020 University Film and Video Association Conference.
• Recipient of 2019 Mississippi Film Alliance Grant to produce the short film, Need.
• Natchez Literary and Cinema Celebration William Winter Scholar, 2018.
