Jon Micah Tyson, assistant professor of art and Co-Chair of the Art & Design Department, teaches Perspectives on Creativity & Art, Animation, Character & Object Design, Concepts & Storyboards, Graphic Design Processes, Design Firm Processes, and Portfolio & Resume Development.
Micah also serves as a consultant for the Madison County Schools Career & Technical Center. He holds a BS from Mississippi College with an emphasis in sculpture and printmaking, a 2D Animation certification, an MED in Art Education, and an MFA in Graphic Design.
He previously taught art, along with core subjects, in elementary and secondary education. He is also the co-founder of Tortugas Games LLC, a tabletop game studio.
