In her 10-year tenure at CBU from 2005-2015, she sent out about 3,500 participants on more than 300 teams and also taught intercultural communication and introduction to global studies.
Although currently residing in Jackson, Mississippi, she is an Oklahoman at heart. After graduating from Oklahoma Baptist University in 1997, she served as a Journeyman with the International Mission Board for two years in East Asia, where she studied Mandarin and taught English.
Upon returning to the states in 2000, she relocated to San Francisco for five years where she completed two master's degrees – one in Theological Studies and one in Intercultural Studies – while working at both Golden Gate Seminary on behalf of Union University as the Global Studies Program Coordinator and at First Baptist Church as the Director of Global Ministries.
She has traveled to 45 countries. At Magnolia Church in California, she served on the College and Global Ministry Teams. While serving as a trustee for the International Mission Board from 2011-2016, she served as chair for Central Asia Peoples and served on the 2014 Presidential Search Team that called David Platt.
In 2016, she completed her PhD in Higher Education at Claremont Graduate University. Her dissertation research was titled International Service-Learning: Faculty Engagement and Transformation.
