What is your perception of academic quality at Belhaven University?
Belhaven University upholds exemplary academic standards while training students to become servant leaders. It is evident that the BU faculty is committed to the university’s motto, “To serve, not to be served,” on and off campus. BU has received numerous awards of distinction for the quality education that students receive.
What do you like most about Belhaven?
Belhaven is one of the most welcoming places I have been! From my first time on campus, it has felt like home. BU is invested in its students, staff, faculty, and community beyond what is expected from an institution of higher education.
What is your favorite place on campus and Why?
The Bitsy Irby Visual Art and Dance Center is my favorite by far! The displays of students’ creativity, passion, and dedication is a testament to the beauty of God’s creation. Seeing the Process Wall, I am reminded that creating a masterpiece takes time.
What advice would you give to your incoming students?
Get involved! Belhaven has a plethora of opportunities for you to become a part of the campus community. Whether it is cheering on your fellow students at a football game, attending a play on campus, or starting a new project in the Maker’s Lab, there is something for you at Belhaven! You may be here only for a short time, but the memories and relationships you make here will have a lasting impact on your life.
