FAQ

To access the databases, please use your Belhaven login credentials (the same ones you use to log into Blazenet) when prompted. Similarly, you can use the same credentials to login and place holds or access ebooks in the online catalog.

For a handy guide on how to search the catalog and databases, including when you have citation information, please see this downloadable PDF.

To check if we have a book available in our collection, please search the library catalog at belhaven.tlcdelivers.com. If it is not listed, you will need to submit an interlibrary loan request, and we can usually get it for you in about two weeks.

You can access that article, for free, at the following URL.

The library does not collect most textbooks assigned for specific classes. As such, please visit the Belhaven bookstore or another vendor of your choice to purchase the books for class use. If you are unsure which books are needed for your class, please contact your professor.

The library does not keep a list of materials needed for any Belhaven classes. Please contact your professor or refer to your syllabus for this information. If you need help locating something – assuming your question cannot be answered by a previous FAQ on this list – we are, however, happy to help at your request.

For information on how to use these and other style guides, including (in some cases) an automatic citation generator, please visit the Purdue OWL (Online Writing Lab) website.

This is an ongoing glitch caused by a misalignment between the library and the registrar’s systems. For assistance, please call the library at 601-968-5948 for troubleshooting.

To access our available databases, EBSCO or otherwise, please select “Databases” from the library webpage, and then select the one you want. Login using your Blazenet credentials if prompted.

To unlock the doors to the library building, please scan your Belhaven ID card during normal business hours.

Unfortunately, if we do not also have the book you’re interested in listed as an ebook in our catalog, we cannot provide access to you. If you still need the book, feel free to submit an interlibrary loan request for the digital version, and we can usually get it for you in about two weeks.
