Request Transcripts: Full credit is usually allowed for students transferring work from another regionally accredited institution. Submit official transcripts from all colleges or universities previously attended. Many institutions allow for electronic transcripts on their website. See Transferability of Credit Notice. The registrar will determine if the work is consistent with a liberal arts curriculum.
Belhaven students will receive a discount on transcript evaluations through our partner, IEE. The discounted fee for evaluations is $120, and orders are typically completed within a few days. Place your transcript evaluation order today.
Submit Test Scores:
The minimum score required for entering Belhaven University graduate degree programs is a 4.5 iBT. Students who took the TOEFL prior to January 21, 2026 are required to have a 79 iBT score for admission. Or the Canadian Academic English Language Assessment (CAEL) of 70 is accepted. Scores must be no more than two years old and must be verifiable. See international student application for additional documents required for issuing the I-20. In registering for the TOEFL, note the Belhaven TOEFL code number is 1055.
The TOEFL requirements may be waived if English proficiency can be demonstrated through other reliable documentation. Proficiency is usually demonstrated by at least two years of successful academic work at the college or university level in the United States.
Exceptions to this requirement will be considered for students presenting strong verbal scores on the SAT or ACT, or if students provide other evidence of English proficiency acceptable to the University.
In addition to the above, all international students must provide:
- Certified translated copies of all transcripts and mark sheets.
- A bank statement, bank letter, or annual salary letter showing proof of funds for the balance listed on the Estimated Expense form. All financial statements must be current and within 90 days.
- A copy of current passport.
