February 19, 2008 (Jackson, Miss.) - Storling Dance Theater, a Christian company from Kansas City, MO, will perform their historical ballet, “Underground,” in conjunction with the Belhaven College Dance Department.

Through the movement of choreographer and Artistic Director, Mona Storling-Enna, “Underground” explores the true stories of slaves - and the abolitionists who helped them - escaping the South on the Underground Railroad, in search of freedom and redemption.

The ambitious production will be held February 22 at 7:30 p.m. and February 23 at 11 a.m. and 7:30 p.m, at the Bitsy Irby Visual Arts and Dance Center. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students and seniors, and $8 for groups of 10 or more.
