Belhaven College is in the midst of making final arrangements to welcome incoming freshmen and transfers, as well as returning upperclassmen, to the fall semester.
The residence halls do not officially open until Saturday, August 16, but many student leaders will return to campus before then. Resident Assistants began checking in as early as August 4, and Belhaven Leadership Council and Peer Leaders will be back on Monday, August 11 for four days of student leadership and peer group training. Their duties put them in charge of making packets, campus signs, decorations and hosting freshmen, transfers and families during their adjustment to college life.
Fall athletes are also making their way back to campus. Football and volleyball players return August 6, followed by men's and women's soccer on August 10 and cross country and cheerleading on August 11.
