Dr. Westley Busbee, Political Science Professor and Chair of the History and Political Science Departments and Division of Humanities, has been honored with the 2008 Humanities Teacher Award. Dr. Busbee is in his fortieth year of teaching at Belhaven College, and he has impacted many students’ lives through his service teaching the humanities.

In response to this honor, he will present a public lecture on “The Women in the Life of Stonewall Jackson” on Monday, November 10, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. in Barber Auditorium. This presentation will briefly describe Thomas J. “Stonewall” Jackson’s life and military career. The major emphasis, however, is on Jackson’s relationships with the women in his short life – his mother, sister, first wife, second wife, and his two daughters.

Complimentary Admission. Open to the public.
