Student athletes were among the first residents back on Belhaven’s campus this August – for good reason. Five of our teams are about to kick off their 2008-2009 season.
The Blazer football team’s first home game pits them against cross-street rival, Millsaps College at 7 p.m., September 13, but their first match up of the season comes August 30 when they travel to Livingston, Ala., to play the University of West Alabama.
Both the men’s and women’s soccer teams will take the field August 29 at Temple University, hosting their first games on September 6, against Louisiana College.
The Volleyball team begins its season on August 29 with a home game against Alcorn State at 7 p.m.
