Colette Correa, a Houston MBA student, was chosen to receive the Earl G. Graves Scholarship, a $5,000 award, presented by the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP). Colette was born in Amiens, France, but now calls Senegal home. She submitted an essay in which she explains, “My life’s ambition is to ‘Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute’ from Proverbs 31:8.” She also discusses her life goals, ambitions and actions in her community.
