The Belhaven women's soccer team had seven players receive Gulf Coast Athletic Conference recognition for their efforts during the 2008 season.
Junior midfielder Sarah Benson, senior midfielder Catherine Dunst, and senior defender Mallory Hodges were all selected as GCAC All Conference first team members. Three Lady Blazers were chosen for the second team including senior goalkeeper Kristin Parson, junior forward Nicole Trawick, and junior forward Dana Sullivan. Along with being a first team selection, Sarah Benson was also named GCAC Newcomer of the year.
As a team, the Lady Blazers compiled an overall record of 11-7-1 and reached the GCAC championship game.
