November 2, 2009: The Belhaven College Strings Chamber Orchestra and the Belhaven College and Jackson Community Symphony Orchestra will present a concert on November 7 at 7:30 pm in the Belhaven College Center for the Arts Concert Hall. The Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Mr. Song Xie, will feature "The Landing," an original piece by Belhaven music professor Dr. Andrew Mark Sauerwein. They will also present "Sinfonia for String Orchestra" from String Quartet No. 8, Op. 110 by Dmitri Shostakovich.
After intermission, the Belhaven College and Jackson Community Symphony Orchestra , conducted by Dr. Stephen Sachs, will present Peter Tschaikovsky powerful masterwork "Symphony No. 4 in F minor."
