October 19, 2009 - The Belhaven College Dance department is hosting free creative dance workshops for boys and girls ages 4-10. Classes will be taught by Belhaven dance pedagogy students, and the purpose of the workshops is to enable the students to design lesson plans that address different ages and experiences, as well as implement teaching and management strategies in a studio environment. Classes will be filmed for teaching purposes. No prior dance training is necessary, and three separate workshops will be held:
Ages 4-5: November 2, 4, 6 from 8:00-8:45 am
Ages 6-7: November 9, 11, 13 from 8:00-8:45 am
Ages 8-10: November 16, 18, 20 from 8:00-8:45 am
