December 15, 2010: Tonight the Men’s Basketball team takes on the Mississippi State Bulldogs in an exhibition game at the Mississippi Fair Grounds Coliseum. The Blazers anticipate not only the thrill of the game itself, but also for the learning opportunities it affords as preparation for the rest of the season.
“There are going to be a lot of big games that we are faced with in conference, and this is definitely one of those opportunities to go out there and see what we’ve got,” said Belhaven forward Nathaniel Roche’ in last night’s WJTV preview story.
Head Coach Tom Kelsey added, “There are situation that can happen in a game that you can use for the rest of the season.”
The game begins at 7:00 pm. Fans can purchase tickets by calling the Mississippi Fairgrounds Coliseum box office at 601-353-0603. Blazers fans should ask for seating in sections AC, AB and AJ, which will be behind Belhaven bench. Ticket prices are $15 and $5. The box office is open Monday through Friday from 9:30 AM until 4:30 PM. Cash, Visa, Master Card, AMX, Discover are accepted at the Coliseum Box Office. Cash only at the gates.
