August 25, 2010: Plays, dance and music concerts, poetry readings, and other arts events for the 2010-2011 school year have been posted! Find out the dates and times for these events through Arts Ablaze, the calendar of Belhaven University arts.

Belhaven University is one of only 30 schools in the nation accredited in 4 of the arts: music, dance, theater, and visual arts. Take full advantage of the opportunities for aesthetic experience this year! See the Theater Department's production Juliet and Her Romeo, a stylized presentation of Shakespeare's tragedy, in late October; at the end of each semester check out Best of Belhaven, where you can hear performances by the university's top musicians. Next March you can hear readings by Richard Tillinghast, author of eight books of poetry and three books of non-fiction, who is coming to Belhaven as a guest of the Creative Writing Department. Each department will have multiple venues for viewing their work throughout the year. Get the information from Arts Ablaze.
