December 7, 2010: Belhaven is proud to announce two new degrees offered at the Chattanooga campus: the Bachelor of Health Administration and the Master of Business Administration. We are excited to offer a next step to the Quest BSOM graduates and the Chattanooga community through our MBA program, says Audrey Kelleher, Vice President of Adult and Graduate Marketing and Development. The Bachelor of Health Administration program also offers a unique opportunity for additional programming never before offered in Chattanooga.
The Bachelor of Health Administration degree combines a foundation of general education with health administration theory and gives students the opportunities to develop the expertise needed for management positions in health administration. The BHA curriculum addresses the standard body of knowledge, understanding, and skills identified as relevant to health administration. Students learn, among many other things, critical thinking from a biblical worldview, professional communication skills, legal and regulatory knowledge, and marketing strategies.
The Master of Business Administration program is also a thorough blending of skills and knowledge, integrating academic knowledge, practical and technological understanding, and the Christian faith. Through teaching values along with the usual body of knowledge, the Master of Business Administration program seeks to develop persons who can function successfully in upper middle management and top management positions.
Belhaven stands among the select Christian colleges and universities that offer a unique general core curriculum encouraging the development of a personal worldview. The university believes a Christian worldview is a key to preparing men and women academically and spiritually to serve Christ Jesus in their careers, in human relationships, and in the world of ideas.
Founded in 1883, Belhaven University now serves over 3,000 students from campuses in Jackson, Memphis, Orlando, Houston, and online, offering traditional undergraduate degrees, graduate and adult degree programs, and online degree programs.
