November 1, 2010: The Belhaven University Dance Ensemble will showcase choreography by dance faculty and guest artists at the Fall Dance Ensemble Concert on November 12 &13 and 18-20. Whether you prefer classical ballet, traditional modern dance, or something in-between, or if this is your first time attending a dance performance, this concert will be sure to delight and entertain you.

“This year’s Fall dance Concert will showcase original choreography by guest artist Randall Flinn,” says Cynthia Newland, Chair of the Dance Department, “as well as other new creations by Belhaven’s dance faculty, including Laura Morton-Zebert, Erin Rockwell, and Stephen Wynne. Also, Ravenna Tucker-Wagnon, a Belhaven faculty member who has performed many title roles in The Royal Ballet versions of the classics, will perform an excerpt from Cinderella. Please join us for this wonderful array of classic and contemporary dance."

The concert is November 12 & 13 and 19 & 20 at 7:30 pm, with an 11:00 am matinee on Thursday, November 18. Suggested donation $10. Seniors/Students $5. Complimentary admission for children and Belhaven faculty/staff/students. Doors open at 7:00 pm, 10:30 am for Thursday matinee.
