September 29, 2010: Congratulations to the Belhaven Men’s Soccer Team for their success so far in the 2010 season. The Blazers are ranked 10th in the NAIA, after having reached as high as 8th. Goalkeeper Goutier Troch was selected as the Southern States Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts in matches during the week of September 12-19, and went on from there to be named NAIA Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week. He has 34 saves and six shutouts in 2010 and has surrendered just three goals in ten games played this season. On the year, he ranks fourth nationally in goals allowed per game (.240) and has totaled six shutouts in nine matches.

The Blazer’s have a record of 10-1, which includes an 8-1 victory over Millsaps. Their next home game is on October 6 at 7 pm against the University of Mobile.
