February 9, 2011: Congratulations to Bobby Grier for his selection as a member of the Capital One Academic All-district team. Bobby is one of only 16 basketball players selected out of our district that includes all of the NAIA and NCAA student athletes from Mississippi, Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas. He is the second Belhaven athlete to earn this type of national recognition this year, joining mens soccer senior, Stefan Fernandez, who was a member of the ESPN Academic All-American team in the fall.
Make plans to come out to Rugg Arena this Saturday, February 12, as the basketball teams take on William Carey University at 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm.
Belhaven stands among the select Christian colleges and universities that offer a unique general core curriculum encouraging the development of a personal worldview. The university believes a Christian worldview is a key to preparing men and women academically and spiritually to serve Christ Jesus in their careers, in human relationships, and in the world of ideas.
Founded in 1883, Belhaven University now serves over 3,000 students from campuses in Jackson, Memphis, Orlando, Houston, Chattanooga, Atlanta, and online, offering traditional undergraduate degrees, graduate and adult degree programs, and online degree programs.
