November 10, 2011 (Jackson) - Belhaven’s ongoing series in health and wellness continues this week with Dr. Phil Lucas, Radiologist and Internist, speaking about the importance of exercise in maintaining bone strength.

In conjunction with our Blue Cross Blue Shield Health Series, this event is open to the public and scheduled for November 10, 6:00 – 7:00 P.M. at the Barber Auditorium.

Dr. Lucas will discuss how you can develop an exercise and strength program that is perfect for your needs. Whether you are a couch potato or a hardcore exerciser, you will take away great ideas for improvement.

Dr. Lucas graduated from the University of Texas College of Medicine in Galveston, Texas in 1975 and was trained in Internal Medicine at The Scott and White Memorial in Temple, Texas. Following a three-year residency he practiced Internal Medicine in the United States Navy for two years, during which time he served as Chief of Internal Medicine at the Naval Regional Medical Center in Memphis, Tennessee. From 1980 until 1983, he was trained in Radiology at the Baptist Memorial Hospital, The University of Tennessee Medical School, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and Le Bonner Children’s Hospital, all in Memphis, Tennessee. He has been practicing Radiology Medicine since 1983 in Mississippi.
