September 1, 2011 (Jackson) - Students are well represented with this year's Belhaven Leadership Council (BLC). The purpose of the BLC is to serve the interests of students and provide Christ-centered leadership within all areas of the student body. Students, shouldn't you get to know your representatives and a little more about what they do? We thought so too.

The BLC serve the student body in a variety of ways, from organizing community outreach and service days to planning fun activities and campus life events. They keep the different intramurals going and they could be considered the keepers of Belhaven memories because they are responsible for the yearbook the White Columns. Get to know the staff and view life at Belhaven from a different perspective with the BLC blog.

JoBeth Petty who is the Director of Student Leadership comments, “I am excited to serve alongside this year's BLC team! Their diversity represents the Belhaven student body well. The BLC includes athletes, an international, students from the west and east coast and their gifting are just as varied. They are a diverse group of students eager to serve. Their enthusiasm is contagious!”

Students are encouraged to get to know their BLC officers and communicate their interests, questions and concerns.
