April 7, 2011: Belhaven University’s Music Department is graduating 6 seniors in May of 2011 with more than half being accepted to post graduate studies. Joel Andrus, a violist, has been accepted into Central Michigan University’s graduate program. Mrs. Nicole Harwell, staff accompanist, has received word the she has been accepted into University of Northern Colorado’s graduate program. Sarah Sachs, pianist, will be receive her Master of Music degree from USM. Tory Senete, a soprano, has been accepted into Westminster Choir College’s graduate program. Suzanne Baucum, guitar performance emphasis, has been accepted into the Masters program at The Peabody Conservatory located in Baltimore, Maryland.

The music department currently has 67 undergraduates studying Collaborative Piano and Pedagogy, Composition, Music Ministries, Musical Theatre, Performance, Vocal Pedagogy & Choral Conducting, and Music Education.
