July 1, 2011 (Jackson) - Any person who has walked through the doors of Belhaven has probably been greeted by one of the helpful and friendly staff members from the Office of Admission. One of those caring staff members is Jake Donald who was recently honored with the North American Coalition for Christian Admissions Professionals (NACCAP) Regional Service Award.

Suzanne Sullivan is the Director of Admission and states, “I’m so proud of Jake and the work he has done for Belhaven. He has a passion for students and their families, and it shows in all that he does. It’s obvious that Jake enjoys what he does by his attitude and actions.”

The goal of the NACCAP award is to provide recognition to an outstanding admissions/guidance counseling professional within the seven regions. Jake was the winner for the Southeast region.

Nominees for the awards are considered based on the service and contributions made to the admissions profession that would otherwise go unnoticed. Nominations are not based on enrollment numbers or years of service, but on a heart of giving without expecting anything in return.

Jake and the other admission staff are all living examples of Belhaven’s motto Belhaven motto to serve and not be served.
