March 28, 2011: The Belhaven Theatre Department is gearing up for an exciting summer! Starting at the end of June through July the Theatre Department will be offering a great and unique experience for kids who enjoy acting in theatre. The Belhaven Summer Theatre Academy will begin June 27th and end July 22nd for those of the ages 10-18, while for those 4-9 years of age the camp will run July 11th-July 22nd. The camp will teach children various aspects of the theatre including acting, costume design, dance, and even exciting stage combat.
This will be a fantastic opportunity for children to develop their artistic skills. The theatre academy will provide a fun learning environment with an excellent group of teachers to help children reach their maximum potential. The camp runs Monday-Friday from 8:30 am – 3:30 pm. The cost for the camp will be $400 for those 10-18 years of age, and $220 for the younger group.
