March 25, 2011: During April 4-16, 2011, Belhaven University’s Theatre Department will be presenting The Belhaven Theatre Festival, a two-week series of theatrical events – from guest artists C. McNair Wilson and Rich Swingle, solo performances by faculty member John Maxwell and others, staged readings of original works, and much more.

"The Theatre Festival is a new project that we are hoping to make an annual event," said Joseph Frost, Chair of the Theatre Department. "It is an opportunity for the students to create and perform their own projects, from solo and collaborative pieces to design and technical showcases. As well as, the chance to bring guest artists of the caliber of McNair Wilson and Rich Swingle into contact with our students and community is also a great blessing."
