January 28, 2011: The Dance Ministry Ensemble (DME) of Belhaven University’s Department of Dance will be presenting the Dance Ministry Ensemble Concert February 11 & 12, 2011, in the Visual Arts and Dance Center at 7:30 pm. This concert is the unique opportunity to be encouraged and uplifted through the visual experience of dance.

"I think people can come expecting to see young people worshiping the Lord with their gifts and talents in both traditionally worshipful ways on not so traditional ways,” said Cynthia Newland, Chair of the Dance Department. “My hope is that the audience will enter into this time of worship with the dancers. Im super excited that DME is finally coming ‘home’ to perform after a semester of being in the community."

Some of the themes and concepts explored in these pieces include God’s forgiveness, having been moved by the love of God, and the sovereignty of Christ in our lives. Doors open at 7:00. Suggested donation $10, Seniors/Students $5. Complimentary admission for children, Belhaven faculty/staff/students.
