February 21, 2012 (Jackson) - Employers from around the Jackson area are attending the 2012 Belhaven University Career Fair and will be searching for potential employees on March 1, 2012 from 11:00 A.M. 1:00 P.M.
Blue Cross Blue Shield, Federal Bureau of Investigations, Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship, MS Department of Education, New York Life, Primerica Financial Services and Trustmark are just a few of the organizations represented at the career fair this year.
Students have the chance to interview with employers for possible job openings or internships. Students can also network for future jobs and build experience for future job searching.
Claire Langley, Director of Career Services, said, A career fair is an amazing opportunity for students to have direct, interpersonal contact with representatives who are hiring for their company. Students can come learn what employers are looking for, share their skills, build networking relationships and possibly land their first interview.
Contact Career Services and make an appointment for help with your resume or job search at cadevelopment@belhaven.edu or call 601-968-5939.
Langley adds, Lower-classmen should also realize its not too early for them to begin their search. Networking starts early!
