graduate fair

October 18, 2012 (Jackson) - All students are invited to Belhaven University’s upcoming Graduate School Fair, Thursday, October 25, 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. in the Student Center. This fair is for students to connect with graduate and professional institutions so they can build and expand their knowledge and future careers.

Representatives from Belhaven’s Graduate Programs will be there to talk about the many options of continuing an education with Belhaven University.

A number of other schools will be attending the fair like: Mississippi College Graduate and Professional Studies, Mississippi State Graduate School College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Nursing, University of Tennessee Health Science Center, University of Southern Mississippi Graduate School, Delta State University, Reformed Theological Seminary, Jackson State University Division of Graduate Studies and many more.

This is the perfect opportunity to learn about graduate school options and talk to admission counselors about requirements and available scholarship offers. Claire Langley, Director of Career Services, said, “In a busy world full of information and opportunity, our hope is to bring qualified students together with recruiting graduate schools for networking connections during a focused event.”

Students who attend can benefit by learning more about graduate placement tests from the inside out, what GRE test scores are accepted to get into a program, and GPA requirements.

Langley adds, “Freshman and Sophomores are not excluded, they are encouraged to come whether they know their major or still undecided. This will help those students refine their decision for a major or help solidify it.”

This will be a great learning experience for all who attend. The Graduate Fair sign up deadline is October 18, 2012. This is an opportunity to know what it takes to further your academic and professional careers, so don’t miss out.
