September 14, 2012 (Jackson) - The Belhaven University Homecoming and Family Weekend will soon be here and alumni, students, parents and families are all invited to attend and enjoy the weekend of October 12-13, 2012.

The weekend will include: Alumni Awards Luncheon, 8th Annual Homecoming 5k Run/Walk, Alumni Reunion Reception, President's Parent Breakfast, Class of 1962 Fifty Year Reunion, Blazer football, tennis and basketball, a homecoming dance for students, a fish fry and ice cream social as well as free theatre and music performances.

“We're looking forward to another wonderful Homecoming weekend,” said Michael Dukes, Director of Development and Alumni Relations. “There are some exciting new events that will be added to the mix of our traditional festivities for this special weekend. It's also the third year for us including special activities for the families of our current students, which has yielded a great response for us. “

Dukes adds, “We have a dynamic group of alumni that will be recognized and honored at our Alumni Awards Luncheon, and the Class of '62 will be officially inducted into the Belhaven Fifty Year Club. I definitely encourage all our alumni that are able to make it Back to Belhaven to do so…there's something planned for everyone to enjoy!”
