October 5, 2012 (Jackson) - Belhaven’s Homecoming Discover Day is on October 12 and is open to any and all interested high school students. Because it will be Homecoming Weekend, Belhaven will be a flurry of activity and students will get to experience much of what Belhaven has to offer.

Jake Donald, Associate Director of Admission, said, “Since this Discover Day falls on Homecoming weekend, our campus will be bustling with families of alumni, students, and friends. You don’t want to miss out. It will be a great way to get connected with all that is happening on campus."

Homecoming Discover Day hosts activities such as campus and residence hall tours, meeting your admission counselor, attending classes, academic and financial aid sessions, learning about campus life, and sampling the dining commons food. Attending a Discover Day is the best way to experience life on campus, and to witness an academically charged, Christian environment. You will get to meet professors in your interested major and learn more about that area of study.

The Arts Discover Day is coming up soon on October 26. If you are interested in getting a degree in the arts and pursuing a career in dance, theatre, visual art, music or creative writing, then the Arts Discover Day is specifically designed for you. It will follow the same Discover Day format, but with a focus on the arts.

“From interactions with faculty, staff, and students to showcase our academic quality to taking a tour of our beautiful campus, there is no doubt that you will feel right at home,” adds Donald.
