January 24, 2012 (Jackson) - The Preston Chamber Music Series, An Evening of Diamonds, will feature its next performance on February 7 with Belhaven’s Piano Trio concert.

Mississippi Symphony Orchestra principal cellist, Mr. Bennett Randman, will join faculty members Mr. Song Xie, violinist and Dr. Stephen Sachs, pianist in an inspiring evening of music making.

Dr. Stephen Sachs, Professor of Piano and Music Department Chair, said, "Come enjoy an inspiring evening of music making including the effervescent French Piano Trio No. 1 in F Major by Saint-Saens and the delightful Piano Trio No. 4 in B-flat Major by Beethoven.”

The Piano Trio concert will be in the Center for the Arts Concert hall at 7:30 P.M. The event is $10, $5 for seniors and free for students with ID. Admission is free for Belhaven faculty, staff, students and immediate families.
