September 19, 2013 (Jackson) - Friday, September 20, is a historic day for Belhaven Blazer Athletics, as the dream of a lighted soccer stadium becomes a reality in the Athletic Bowl. You have probably seen the construction and the lights, so now you get to enjoy soccer under the lights.
Dr. Roger Parrott, President of Belhaven University, said, “I saw the lights tested a few days ago. They light up the field for television intensity lighting, but there is no bleed over of light onto the street or surrounding area. The technology is incredible.”
The SSAC conference schedule tomorrow has our women’s soccer team playing Emmanuel College at 4:30 p.m., followed by our men’s soccer team competing against Emmanuel at 7:00 p.m.
