November 15, 2013 (Jackson) - The Belhaven Music Department will present its second installation of An Evening of Diamonds as part of the Preston Chamber Music Series on Monday, November 18. The Belhaven Piano Trio is a concert based on some of the best piano trios ever performed and will include Piano Trio in E-flat Major, Op. 70, No. 2 by Beethoven and the Piano Trio in C Minor, Op. 66 by Mendelssohn and more.
Mr, Bennett Randman, former principal cellist for the Mississippi Symphony Orchestra, will join music faculty members Mr. Song Xie, violinist, and Dr. Stephen Sachs, pianist, for an inspiring evening of music.
This event will be held in the Belhaven University Concert Hall and general admission for this concert will be $10. For seniors, admission will be $5 and free for non-Belhaven students with a student I.D. Admission for Belhaven faculty, staff and students will be complimentary. Doors will open at 7:00 p.m. and the concert will start at 7:30 p.m.
