April 17, 2013 (Memphis) - The Belhaven Memphis campus will honor graduating students during commencement on April 25 2013. The Belhaven Memphis Commencement will start at 7:00 P.M. at Second Presbyterian Church in the main sanctuary.

Don Jones, Assistant Vice President of Adult and Graduate Admission and Student Services, said, “The Memphis staff and faculty are honored to celebrate commencement with our 2013 graduates. We have walked the academic path with them and have been part of the 'iron sharpening iron' process that God uses. We have watched the hand of God as He has used the transformational power of education to shape them. Many of the 2013 graduates will be lifelong friends, and we wish them 'Godspeed' on their future endeavors. May they always walk the path God sets for them, and may Belhaven ever hold a special place in their hearts.”

The speaker for this year's commencement will be Ed Horrell, author and founder of The Kindness Revolution. As a professional speaker, he has addressed over 1,500 audiences all across the country. His speaking clients include firms such as Fed Ex, Auto Zone, Verizon Wireless, AT&T, State Farm Insurance Company, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, and numerous national conferences.

As an author, Horrell has been published over 250 times in various business magazines and has been quoted in publications such as Forbes, Business Week, Business Communications Review, and Computer World. His “Kindness Revolution” columns are syndicated across the country. He is the author of three books, including the top-seller “The Kindness Revolution” which contains inspirational customer service stories by companies who have replaced indifference with values in customer service.

Horrell is also the founder of the non-profit initiative The Kindness Revolution; a business-led initiative teaching both companies and students the importance of respectful and engaging behavior.
