April 10, 2013 (Jackson) - Try not tapping your feet during Belhaven’s Choral and Vocal Arts performance of Jazz Vibrations. This free concert on Saturday, April 13 will start at 7:30 p.m. in the Center for the Arts Concert Hall.

The Belhaven Jazz Ensemble, Belhaven Chorale and 80 voices from the Belhaven Concert Choir will take the stage with other soloists and small ensembles for an evening of jazz and influenced styles. The performance will focus on Big Band music from 1940-1950 with music from artists like Otis Redding and Duke Ellington.

Dr. Christopher Shelt, Professor of Voice, Church Music and Choral Activities, will join with Dr. Paxton Girtmon, Associate Professor of Music, to conduct this special night of jazz music.
