August 15, 2014 (Jackson) - Belhaven University faculty, staff and friends joined together on Wednesday night, August 13 for the Service of Dedication in the Center for the Arts. The annual kick-off ceremony marked the start of another year at Belhaven.
The program featured a reading of the verse of the year, music from Dr. Christopher Shelt, a challenge for the school year from Dr. Roger Parrott, scripture reading, a time of worship, a dessert reception sponsored by Primos Café and MMI Dining Systems.
The 2014-2015 Belhaven University Verse of the Year is from 1 Peter 4:10.“As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace.”
During the annual Clock Ceremony, Dr. Parrott honored the faculty and staff who have served for 5, 10 and 15 years by taking time to talk about each person before they received their clock award.
