May 6, 2015 (Jackson) - The Belhaven chapter of Alpha Sigma Lambda (ASL) inducted 97 students from its six branch campuses into the national honor society. The Lambda Xi Chapter at Belhaven annually invites outstanding adult undergraduate students on the Memphis, Chattanooga, Orlando, Houston, Atlanta and Jackson campuses into the honor society as a way to recognize and inspire high scholastic achievement.
Non-traditional adult students who achieve and maintain academic excellence and leadership while managing responsibility for family, work and the community are awarded this distinction. To become a member of ASL, students must have earned a minimum of 24 semester hours in an undergraduate degree program at Belhaven and be in the top ten percent of eligible students.
