(Chattanooga, Tenn.) - Belhaven University's Chattanooga Campus will honor its graduating students during the Chattanooga Commencement Ceremony on December 9, 7 p.m. at Brainerd Baptist Church, 4011 Austin Street.
The commencement speaker this year is Rodger Piersant, president and co-owner of Displaycraft, Inc. and K2 Industries, a national store display and computer server cabinet manufacturer. Displaycraft is located in Dalton, Georgia and makes store fixtures for AT&T Cricket Stores, Sprint Mobile stores, Shaw and Mohawk, Crystal Waters, Catnapper and 50 other customers. Through their K2 division, they make computer racks for Yahoo, Dell, Lenovo and others. Piersant has served in this role for 17 years along with his partners.
Piersant worked 15 years as the president and CEO of National Center for Youth Issues. He also served as founder, president and 10-year owner of ServiceMaster Building Maintenance Contracts, Inc., a 255 employee, multi-city janitorial contracting firm. Piersant is a graduate of Covenant College and Luther Rice Grad School, a U.S. Navy Seabee Veteran and serves on several boards and foundations in Chattanooga. He is the husband of Suzanne and the father of Ryan (38) and Timothy (35), and the grandfather of four granddaughters.
