January 31, 2016 (Jackson, Miss.) - Belhaven's annual Career Boot Camp for traditional students is on February 11, 2016 at 11 a.m. This event will host a panel of Jackson area business leaders, who will take questions from students and discuss ways to stay competitive in today's job market. There is no registration needed for the panel session and sign-in will begin at 10:45 a.m. in the Barber Auditorium.
Claire Langley, Director of Career Services, said, “Career Boot Camp gives students a concentrated time to better equip themselves with the knowledge to know what employers are looking for, the opportunity meet and shake hands with over 30 professionals in the community, and experience at least two mock interviews each with instant and written feedback.”
Only juniors and seniors may register to the networking luncheon and mock interviews. Students that register will have at least two mock interviews and judged on various factors, then given direct feedback from the interviewer.
Registration is due February 4, 2016.
