January 15, 2016 (Jackson, Miss.) - Belhaven Career Services will host a LinkedIn and Resume Workshop for its on-campus students on January 28, 11 a.m. in the Student Center Theatre to give them an extra advantage for future employment.
A good resume can sometimes be the only chance to capture a potential employer's attention. The job market after college is competitive and having an impressive resume and professional connections can make all the difference when applying for a job.
This is a great opportunity for students to discover the skills they need to market themselves in the employment process, said Claire Langley, Director of Career Services. A student's resume is a vital document in the hiring process. This workshop helps our students learn the skills needed to articulate who they are as a professional as well as increase their chances for interviews and ultimately, positions of employment.
