February 10, 2016 (Jackson, Miss.) - The suspenseful drama Doctor Faustus by Christopher Marlowe will debut at Belhaven University's Blackbox Theatre on February 24-27. Directed by Associate Professor of Theatre Joseph Frost, this mythic tale illustrates mankind's insatiable desire for knowledge and power. Doctor Faustus, restless for knowledge, forsakes scholarship for magic and makes a pact with the devil. He later begins to realize the terrifying reality of his position and the prospect of its agonizing conclusion.
