October 24, 2016 (Jackson, Miss) - The Belhaven Symphony Orchestra Concert will feature the talent of the University's top music students on Friday, November 4.
This free concert starts at 7:30 p.m. in Center for the Arts Concert Hall and will highlight the artistry of Pyotr Tchaikovsky's last masterwork, Symphony No. 6 “The Pathetique.”
This arrangement is a profound portrait of Tchaikovsky's life with deep orchestration, colorful harmonies, saddened themes and masterful construction that combines to make this composition a world-wide favorite.
This is just one of the many exciting events from Belhaven's School of the Arts. Check out our complete listing of art events in this year's Arts Ablaze publication for more plays, dance and music concerts, poetry readings and gallery exhibits.
