January 12, 2016 (Jackson, Miss.) - Belhaven's Preston Chamber Music Series presents An Evening of Diamonds II Piano Trio on Monday, January 18 at 7:30 p.m. in the Center for the Arts Concert Hall. Mississippi Symphony Orchestra Principal Clarinetist Kenneth Graves and Principal Cellist Jesse Christeson join with Pianist, Professor and Chair of Music Dr. Stephen Sachs to offer an evening of music.
Clarinet, cello and piano will provide the instrumentation of Beethoven's Piano Trio in B-flat, Op. 11 and Brahms' Clarinet Trio in A Minor, Op. 114.The Brahms Trio will present a somber, thought provoking musicality, while the Beethoven Trio will present a popular song from 18th century Vienna as the basis for a series of variations in the third movement. Admission is free and the doors open at 7 p.m.
