Belhaven Opens Madison CampusJune 15, 2017 (Madison, Miss.) - Continuing its commitment to quality Christian higher education and the adult learner, Belhaven University will expand to Madison, Mississippi. The brand new campus, located at 401 Baptist Drive, Madison, MS39110, will begin classes Fall 2017.

“I am thrilled we are opening a campus in Madison because so many working professionals need graduate degrees in a convenient location,” exclaimed Belhaven President Dr. Roger Parrott. “We've been providing accelerated format degrees in Jackson for over 25 years, and I expect our new Madison campus will become a significant center of learning for those who want quality academic programs from a Christ-centered university.”

The Madison site will offer a number of on-site degrees that will include undergraduate and graduate studies. “Because Madison is a highly educated community, we believe that our graduate degrees offered in Madison will be popular,” adds Dr. Parrott. Most of the programs are designed for working adults and function in tandem with students who need flexibility while earning a degree.

“The adult-focused delivery of the courses gives students the ability to work full time and attend classes one night a week,” said Dr. Audrey Kelleher, vice president for adult and graduate enrollment and student services. “This learning format is a proven success, and we look forward to seeing our students achieve their education goals with us.”

Belhaven University has been Mississippi's leader in adult education, offering accelerated degree programs for over 25 years. The University currently serves around 1,100 adult undergraduate and graduate students at its LeFleur Campus at I-55 and Northside Drive in Jackson, and 1,200 tradition students at its residential campus. The University enrolls a total of 5,000 students, with the other learners attending branch campuses in Memphis, Houston, Atlanta and Chattanooga or enrolled in their online degree programs.
