October 18, 2018 (Jackson, Miss.) - Belhaven's Piano Trio will present an evening of chamber music on Friday, October 26 in the Center for the Arts Concert Hall. The Trio is comprised of faculty from the Belhaven Music Department that includes clarinetist Kenneth Graves, cellist Nancy Bateman, and pianist Dr. Stephen Sachs.
This special concert will highlight Romanticism and begin with selections from Eight Songs by German composer Max Bruch. Then, music by American composer Robert Muczynski will provide some contrast with his work Fantasy Trio.
The evening will come to a close with the performance of a nocturne from Liszt's famous Consolation No. 3, transcribed by Alexis Descharmes. Admission is free and the doors open at 7 p.m.
