DOXA Concert Uses Dance to Bless CommunityNovember 16, 2018 (Jackson, Miss.) - The 2018 DOXA Dance Concert is November 28-29 and will feature two nights of creative choreography and performances from emerging students in the Belhaven Dance Department.

DOXA, which means “praise” in Greek, is a student-led dance organization where members create and perform original works. The club's goal is to use dance as a ministry to others in the community. “Dance is powerful and can be a used in a way to encourage others,” said Krista Bower, chair of Belhaven's Dance Department. “DOXA exists to provide student leadership, foster a supportive community, and expand creative opportunities within the dance department, thus glorifying God and enriching the educational opportunities available to all Belhaven students.”

The performance will be in the Bitsy Irby Visual Arts and Dance Center Studio Theatre at 7 p.m. each night. General admission is $10 and $5 for seniors and students. Admission is free for all Belhaven students, faculty, staff and their immediate families. For more information, contact the dance department at 601-965-1400.
