Musical White Christmas Brings the Screen to the StageOctober 18, 2018 (Jackson, Miss.) - Based on the timeless film, White Christmas will premiere at Belhaven's Blackbox Theatre, on Friday, November 2. Directed by Belhaven Theatre Chair Dr. David Sollish, this heartwarming musical is full of dancing and singing. Faculty and students from the University's music and dance departments collaborated on this performance and helped with both musical direction and choreography.

This entertaining adaptation features 17 Irving Berlin songs. White Christmas follows veterans Bob Wallace and Phil Davis who join a sister act Betty and Judy Haynes to perform a Christmas show in rural Vermont. There, they run into Gen. Waverly, the men's commander in World War II, who is having financial difficulties. His quaint country inn is failing, and the foursome plan a yuletide miracle that is sure to put Waverly and his business back on the map.
