November 22, 2019 (Chattanooga, Tenn.) - Belhaven University's Chattanooga Campus will honor its graduating students during theChattanooga Commencement Ceremonyon Friday, December 6, 7 p.m. at The Colonnade Center, 264 Catoosa Circle.
The commencement speaker this year is Dr. Kevin Russell, Belhaven University's Vice President for Enrollment and Marketing. Russell provides leadership and oversight to the enrollment, communications, marketing and web functions. He has a vast array of experience from both the private and education sectors. Prior to entering the field of education, he worked in the commercial banking and product marketing fields with regional and Fortune 500 sized clients.
Russell's career in education spans 28 years at three educational institutions. He has served as the chief officer for functions including enrollment, development, alumni relations, athletics, communications, IT, and financial planning. He also is passionate about leadership development and has provided consulting and training expertise for clients from the fields of education, public service, technology, government, and manufacturing.
Russell received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Millsaps College, a Master of Business Administration from The University of Texas at Austin, and a Doctor of Education from The University of Mississippi. He is past President of the North Jackson Rotary Club, serves on the Boards of the Neighborhood Christian Center, and the Council for Advancement and Support of Education. Russell serves as an Elder at Highlands Presbyterian Church in Ridgeland. He and his wife Linda Kay have two grown children.
